Simple Paruppu Saadam (Dal Rice)


Ingredients:

Rice – 1 cup

Toor dal – ½ cup

Ghee – 1 teaspoon

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Hing – ¼ teaspoon

 




Method:

  1. Wash the rice and add dal to it.
  2. Add 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
  3. Once cooled mash nicely adding a teaspoon or two of ghee.
  4. Serve hot with aloo curry(dry).
