Cucumber Buttermilk


Ingredients:

Chilled yogurt (curd) – ½ cup

Water – 1 ½ cups

Cucumber – 1

To Grind:

Green chilli – 1

Coriander stem – a handful

Ginger – 1-inch piece

Curry leaves – 10

Kala namak – ½ teaspoon (flat)


Makes: 2 glasses


Method:

  1. Chop cucumber into small pieces after peeling skin.
  2. Grind together with cucumber the ingredients mentioned to a smooth paste.
  3. Add water and yogurt and chirp 2-3 times.
  4. Strain this mixture through a sieve and serve chilled.
