Bread Besan Toast


Ingredients:

Bread – 4 slices 

Chilli powder - ¼ teaspoon

Besan – 3 tablespoons

Carrot – 1 small (grated)

Onion - 1 small (finely chopped)

Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)

Salt – 1½ teaspoon

Garam masala powder – a pinch

Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon

Hing -  ¼ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Cut bread slices diagonally.
  2. Mix besan with finely carrot, onion, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder & hing.
  3. Add approximately about ½ to 1 glass of water to make it to dosa batter consistency.
  4. Heat dosa tawa.
  5. Dip each slice of bread both sides into this batter. (Ensure sides are also dipped)
  6. Place it on the tawa & add ½ teaspoon of oil.  
  7. Turn to other side (when golden brown) & add ½ teaspoon of oil.
  8. Toast till golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with tomato sauce/butter.
