Carrot Idlis


Ingredients:

Idli batter - quantity as required.

Carrot – 1 (grated)

Salt – a pinch

Method:

1.  Fill half of idli plate.

2. Add a pinch of salt to the grated carrot & mix well.

3. Spread the grated carrot on half filled idli plates.

4.Fill with idli batter on top of the layer of grated carrot.

5. Arrange idli plates as shown in the piture.

6. Steam the idlis in an idli cooker till whistle. (If using pressure cooker allow steaming for 15 minutes in sim without the weight)

7. Serve hot with coconut chutney/onion-tomato chutney/kothsu(sambar).
