Cucumber Kosambari


Cucumber – 2

Moong dal – ½ cup

Grated coconut – ¼ cup

Green chilli – 1

Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Salt – 1 teaspoon (flat)

Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)


Serves: 2



  1. Chop cucumber into small pieces after peeling skin, also chop green chilli into tiny pieces.
  2. Soak moong dal in hot water for an hour.
  3. Mix together chopped cucumber, green chilli, coconut, salt, soaked moong dal, and chopped coriander leaves in a bowl and combine well.


Since cucumber has the tendency to become watery when added with salt, mix all ingredients together just before serving.
