Homemade Garlic Bread


Ingredients:
Bread slices – 4
Garlic – 2 big cloves
Softened Butter (or) Olive oil – 8 teaspoons
Cheese – 8 tablespoons
Italian herbs – 2 teaspoons
Chilli flakes – 2 teaspoons

Makes: 8 pieces

Method:
  1. Peel skin of garlic cloves and grate or fine chop the garlic cloves.
  2. Add this to butter (or olive oil) and mix well.
  3. Cut the bread pieces diagonally.
  4. Apply the prepared garlic butter mixture onto the bread pieces.
  5. Add grated cheese on top of the buttered slices (1 tablespoon of grated cheese on top of each triangle piece of bread).
  6. Garnish with a pinch or two of Italian herbs of your choice and chilli flakes.
  7. Toast on a dosa tawa in low flame until golden brown (and cheese melts on top) or keep in an oven (preheated for 5 minutes at 180⁰C) for 4 to 5 minutes approx. – that is until you can see the cheese melted on top .
