Homemade Garlic Bread


Ingredients:

Bread slices – 6

Garlic – 1 big clove

Softened Butter (or) olive oil – 6 tablespoons

Cheese – 6 tablespoons

Italian herbs – 2 teaspoons

Chilli flakes – 2 teaspoons

Makes: 12 pieces

Method:

  1. Remove peel of garlic and grind the garlic clove in mixer grinder, or grate using a micro grater.
  2. Add this to butter (or olive oil) and mix well.
  3. Cut the bread pieces diagonally.
  4. Apply the garlic butter prepared onto the bread pieces.
  5. Add grated cheese on top of the buttered slices and garnish with a pinch or two of Italian herbs of your choice (or even oregano) and chilli flakes.
  6. Toast on a dosa tawa until golden brown or keep in an oven (preheated for 5 minutes at 180⁰C) for 4 to 5 minutes approx. – that is until you can see the cheese on top melted.
