Methi Aloo


Ingredients:

Aloo (potatoes) - ½ kg

Methi leaves – 2 handfuls of leaves

Salt – 1 ½ teaspoons

Cumin seeds – ¾ teaspoon

Corriander powder – 1 ½ teaspoons

Oil – 2 teaspoons

Garam masala powder – ½ teaspoon

Green chilly - 1

Method:

  1. Cut potatoes into small cubes.
  2. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker for just a  whistles.
  3. Allow cooling & peel skin, keep aside.
  4. Fine chop the methi leaves & green chillies.
  5. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
  6. Add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chillies and the potato pieces.
  7. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt.
  8. Sauté in sim till potato pieces turn golden brown.
  9. Add the chopped leaves.
  10. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Serve hot with rotis/chappathis.
