Thengai thogayal

Makes : 2 to 4 serves

Ingredients:

Coconut – 1 cup (grated)

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Tamarind – a pinch

Oil – ½ teaspoon

Hing – ¼ teaspoon

Roast & grind:

Urad dal – 4 to 5 teaspoons

Red chillies – 2 or 3

Method:

  1. Roast the ingredients mentioned with oil.
  2. Allow the roasted ingredients to cool.
  3. Grind all ingredients to chutney consistency. (Adding little water)

Suggestion:

  • To be served mixed with rice & teaspoon of ghee.
  • Served with mysore rasam.
