Sprouts Chutney

Makes : 2- 4 serves

Ingredients:

Mixed sprouts – 1 cup

Garlic – 2 or 3 cloves

Salt – ¾ teaspoon

Tamarind – size of a grape

Ginger – 1 inch piece

Onion - 1 big

Roast with a drop of sesame oil:

Urad dal – 3 teaspoons

Coriander seeds – 1 teaspoon

Curry leaves – 10

Red chillies – 4 or 5

Method:

  1. Roast the ingredients mentioned and allow cooling.
  2. Heat ½ teaspoon of oil, add garlic pieces & sauté for a minute.
  3. Add chopped onion and saute till transparent.
  4. Add the sprouts and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Allow cooling & grind to paste in mixie with ginger, tamarind & salt (add little water only if required).
  6. Serve with dosa/idli/chapathis.
