5 Minute Mysore Pak

Makes: 20 pieces approx

Ingredients:

Gram flour (besan) - 1 cup

Powdered sugar – 1 cup

Ghee - 1 cup

Milk - 1 tablespoo

Method:

  1. Sift the gram flour through a sieve ensuring no lumps.
  2. Add a tablespoon of ghee along with gram flour to a microwave safe bowl & cook on high power (100%power - default power) for a minute.
  3. Take out stir once & cook for another minute (Nice aroma rises).
  4. Sift the roasted flour through a sieve to ensure no lumps.
  5. To a microwave safe bowl add melted ghee, sugar and milk, mix well.
  6. Add the roasted & sifted gram flour and microwave this mixture for a minute.
  7. Remove the mixture, mix well and microwave for another minute.
  8. Remove the mixture, mix well and microwave for another minute.
  9. Once you see the mixture bubbling on top the mysore pak is done.
  10. Mix well and pour over a plate greased with ghee.
  11. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes and then cut into pieces.
  12. Allow to rest for another 5 to 10 minutes & store the pieces in a airtight container.
