Beans Masala Curry

Makes : 2 - 4 serves

Ingredients:

Beans – ¼ kg

Onion – 1 (chopped)

Tomato – 1 (chopped)

Garlic – 1 clove (finely chopped)

Curry leaves – 5 leaves

Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)

Oil – 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds – ½ teaspoon

Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon

Salt – 1 ½ teaspoon

Hing – ¼ teaspoon

Powders:

Chilli powder – ½ teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Cut beans into slightly long pieces.
  2. Boil with little water till cooked.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
  4. Add mustard seeds & allow spluttering.
  5. Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, garlic & sauté till garlic pieces turn light golden brown.
  6. Add chopped onions & all powders mentioned, sauté for 2 minutes.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes & then salt, sauté till tomatoes melt & blend.
  8. Add cooked beans & mix well.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.
