Thayir Aval

Makes: Serves 2

Ingredients:

Thick Aval (flattened rice) – 100 gms

Yoghurt – 250 ml

Ginger – 1-inch piece (finely chopped)

Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)

Curry leaves – 10 (finely chopped)

Carrot – 1 (grated)

Hing – ¼ teaspoon

Salt – ½ teaspoon

More milagai – 1 (crushed)

Method:

  1. Wash aval 2 to 3 times to take fine dust off.
  2. Add chopped ginger, coriander leaves, curry leaves, grated carrot, hing, salt, crushed more milagai & yoghurt.
  3. Mix well and serve with pickle.
