Broccoli Subzi

Makes : 4 serves

Ingredients:

Broccoli – 2 flowers

Onion - 1 (sliced)

Garlic – 2 cloves

Salt – 1 ½ teaspoon

Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)

Powders:

Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Corriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Garam masala powder – ½ teaspoon

Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon

Seasoning:

Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon

Sesame seeds – ½ teaspoon

Fennel seeds – ½ teaspoon

Fenugreek seeds – ½ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a non stick kadai.
  2. Add seasoning and fry for a few seconds.
  3. Add chopped garlic and fry until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add sliced onions and add along with powders mentioned.
  5. Sauté until onions turn transparent.
  6. Cut the broccoli to mid sized florets.
  7. Add the florets along with salt and keep closed stirring in between until the florets are cooked.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti/rice.
