Green Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:

Firm green tomatoes – 4

Roasted peanuts – 2 handful

Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon

Green chillies – 3 or 4

Salt – ¾ teaspoon

Sesame oil – 1½ teaspoon

Mustard seeds – ½ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Cut green tomatoes into pieces.
  2. In ½ teaspoon of oil sauté the green tomatoes until little soft.
  3. Once cooled grind together with roasted peanuts, salt, cumin seeds.
  4. Heat 1 teaspoon of sesame oil & add mustard seeds, allow spluttering.
  5. Add the seasoning to chutney & serve with hot idlis/dosas.
