Cucumber Buttermilk

Makes: 2 glasses

Ingredients:

Chilled yogurt (curd) – ½ cup

Water – 1¼ cups

Cucumber – 1

To Grind:

Green chilli – 1

Coriander stem – a handful

Ginger – 1-inch piece

Curry leaves – 10

Salt - ¼ teaspoon

Kala namak – a pinch

Method:

  1. Chop cucumber into small pieces after peeling skin.
  2. Grind cucumber along with the other ingredients (except water) in the mixer grinder.
  3. Add water and chirp 2-3 times in the mixer grinder.
  4. Strain this mixture through a sieve and serve chilled.

Note: You could use a hand blender too.
