Vendaikai Curry

Ladies finger (Vendaikai) – ½ kg
Chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt – 1 ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Oil – 3 teaspoons
Besan – 2 teaspoons
Hing – ¼ teaspoon/ a pinch
Special masala powder – 2 teaspoons
Method:
Method:
- Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds & allow spluttering.
- Add cumin seeds & hing.
- Add cut vendaikai, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt & mix well.
- Keep stirring occasionally till vendaikai looks cooked.
- Add besan & special masala powder, fry for 2 more minutes.
- Serve hot with rice & rasam/sambar.
